Nourishment of Encouragement

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

— Psalm 107:8-9 —
Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for men,
or he satisfies the thirsty
and fills the hungry with good things.

"Pride slays thanksgiving, but a humble mind is the soil of which thanks naturally grows. A proud man is seldom a thankful man, for he never thinks he gets as much as he deserves." — Henry Ward Beecher

Bread of Life food pantry

We served 15 families and 42 people today, many needs that the Holy Spirit touched. There was one women who was broken as soon as we prayed she broke down started weeping because her husband had passed away from a unexpected heart attack. In her brokeness she recieved love and care through the touch of women volenteers. You see we never know what people are going through, but thank God we are there to comfort and care. How blessed to be part of this ministry and just be availible to care for God's little lambs.

Nourishment of Encouragement

The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:20-21

Without the Spirit of God and His grace we can not recieve a Breakthrough. It is impossible to think that we can overcome sin and our sinful nature in our own strength and power, that would be considered a Break In which means having elegale access, but when we recieve Jesus He comes the eternal access that brings life and Breakthrough from the cross and out of the tomb the Holy Spirit has rescued you.

Be blessed, Big V

Looking for small Breakthroughs in the Food pantry today God, please Holy Spirit go before us and prepair the way. Amen!!!

Have a brake on your tongue; hit the throttle on your ears. Let your angry email sit three days before responding and make sure you read it and edit it before you send it. Keep your mouth shut and your ears open. They all say the same thing. Now if we would just do it, wouldn't the Christian community be so much more blessed!

Bread of Life Food Pantry

Another awesome day serving at ELC Bread of Life CHURCH Pantry. We served 15 families and a total of 60 people. Many needs met by the Spirit bringing Life people recieving prayer and provision. John 6:63 (New International Version)
63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit[a] and they are life.
One of our volunteers brother was laid off and she invited him to call in today, after praying for him I asked if he had a church he attended and he said no, but if his sister would go he would go..... Wow what revelation she recieved as she felt God speaking to her that her example would effect her brothers desire to connect to God. You see it is up to us to show Jesus and be the example people are waiting for. How amny people in your life is seeing life lived out in you? Waiting for you to go to church and take them with..... Jesus is the spirit of Life asking YOU to ask and bring so that God can do His thing to bring life to everything.

Nourishment of Encouragement

Unity comes from God's Spirit as we follow Jesus. But, unity has a purpose much deeper than our getting along with each other. Jesus prayed we would be one so that the world would know that God sent Jesus into the world as his Son (John 17). We want to be united so that our praise can bring glory to God. Unity is far more than a goal. Unity is a process through which the world learns of Jesus. At the same time, we glorify the Father who sent Jesus to save us. Leading others to Jesus and glorifying God are what living for Jesus is all about! Let's make unity our passion!

Nourishment of Encouragement

God's plan to save us is incredible. His blueprints for the creation of our universe are beyond our imagining. He is so rich in wisdom and knowledge. What else can we do but go to him and ask him to open our minds to his work and his will in our lives.

You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
— Psalm 139:13-14 (NIV)
This is exactley how God feels about those being served in the food pantry, we had another spiritual productive day as we served 12 families but a total of 58 people, big families today with one women having 11 chirdren all her own, another family of 9 and 8, but the biggest testimony today was a lady who said that a few weeks ago she came for the Benevolence and Ruth Campbell prayed for her to find a job and the next week she got a job. God is that concerned about supplying every need and His power is active even with the Faith Community Network at ELC. Do you know full well how much God cares about you and see you as a finished work a complete whole body?

Thank you Jesus!!!

Romans 8:1-2 (The Message)

Romans 8
The Solution Is Life on God's Terms
1-2With the arrival of Jesus, the Messiah, that fateful dilemma is resolved. Those who enter into Christ's being-here-for-us no longer have to live under a continuous, low-lying black cloud. A new power is in operation. The Spirit of life in Christ, like a strong wind, has magnificently cleared the air, freeing you from a fated lifetime of brutal tyranny at the hands of sin and death.

Nourishment of Encouragement

Be kind and compassionate -- two qualities that seem to be in short supply. Maybe it's because we hold up the wrong heroes. Unfortunately these two qualities are often seen as signs of weakness rather than strength. To forgive as God forgave us requires great courage and great strength. So let's be strong!

The word transcendence which means surpassing, beyond, above in excellence, in splendor, in majesty, in attribute, in beauty. Whatever term we use to describe God, He is always beyond that description. How "beyond" is your view of God right now?

Nourishment of Encouragement

The right thing is so hard to do sometimes. It seems so much easier to gossip about someone who has wronged us, or to mention them in a group prayer as needing help, or to pass around an innuendo when talking about struggling Christians. But, only one thing is the right thing when we have been wounded by the action of another brother or sister in Christ! Go to the person who has wronged you, try to keep the damage contained to just the two of you, and work on being reconciled. This is God's desire, and should be our goal as his children.

Matthew 18:15 (The Message)

15-17"If a fellow believer hurts you, go and tell him—work it out between the two of you. If he listens, you've made a friend. If he won't listen, take one or two others along so that the presence of witnesses will keep things honest, and try again. If he still won't listen, tell the church. If he won't listen to the church, you'll have to start over from scratch, confront him with the need for repentance, and offer again God's forgiving love.

Nourishment of Encouragement

Do you wonder about His wonders, or do you wonder why your not seeing His wonders? I'm sure God wonders why we wander from the alter, because it's on our knees that we will not falter.

Luke 5 - Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on the Bible
Levi called, Christ's answer to the Pharisees.

It was a wonder of Christ's grace, that he would call a publican to be his disciple and follower. It was a wonder of his grace, that the call was made so effectual. It was a wonder of his grace, that he came to call sinners to repentance, and to assure them of pardon. It was a wonder of his grace, that he so patiently bore the contradiction of sinners against himself and his disciples. It was a wonder of his grace, that he fixed the services of his disciples according to their strength and standing. The Lord trains up his people gradually for the trials allotted them; we should copy his example in dealing with the weak in faith, or the tempted believer.

"In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
Colossians 2:3, NLT

Wow God continues to move in the food pantry, prayer, presence and power. I want express thanks to Pastor for taking the time to come and pray for a young man who's sister was a member of our church years ago, but has gone to be with the Lord. This young man has cancer and was feeling hopeless, Pastor prayed and could feel God doing something, so continue to pray for Steven. God was also using the gift of prophecy speaking directly to peoples lives in a personal way. The river is running rapid and the current is sweeping and swift as the Holy Spirit's manifested power connects and convicts. I am blessed to see those serving be filled with faith to destroy the works of the enemy and take back the territory and proclaim victory.
He holds the keys to everything we do and wants to open and expand His influence to the whole city of Madison revealing the cross and Christ to transform lives.

Nourishment of Encouragement

1 Timothy 3:7 (The Message)
Are you ready to be a leader?
1 Timothy 3
Leadership in the Church
1-7If anyone wants to provide leadership in the church, good! But there are preconditions: A leader must be well-thought-of, committed to his wife, cool and collected, accessible, and hospitable. He must know what he's talking about, not be overfond of wine, not pushy but gentle, not thin-skinned, not money-hungry. He must handle his own affairs well, attentive to his own children and having their respect. For if someone is unable to handle his own affairs, how can he take care of God's church? He must not be a new believer, lest the position go to his head and the Devil trip him up. Outsiders must think well of him, or else the Devil will figure out a way to lure him into his trap.

Philippians 4:19 (Amplified Bible)
19And my God will liberally supply ([a]fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Fill to the FULL !!!! God spoke to me late last night about how He is going to make an exception to your case, but we must come into agreement with His word.

2 Corinthians 9:8 (The Message)

This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.

Extravagant exception to be a firery reflection of Christ Love and affection.
