Speaking the truth is hard enough. You mean I have to do it in love? Yes, if I am to be Christ's man or woman, I must speak to others as he did.
Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden.~ Corrie ten Boom

Nourishment of Encouragement

Conquering King, Immortal God, I look forward to the day of your ultimate triumph in our world. Until that day, I pray that your Kingdom may be reflected in my ministry, my family and my life.

I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.— Job 19:25 (NIV)

Nourishment of Encouragement

God, you are all powerful and yet you emptied yourself to redeem me. May I be more selfless in my attitude and treatment of others, more like Jesus is with me. In Christ' name, I pray. Amen.

Nourishment of Encouragement

The Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.
— Luke 19:10 (NIV)
I am so thankful that when Jesus came to earth He was not our judge but our Savior, He is our friend. I promise to live today more aware of God's love for the lost because I know what it means to be found. Through Jesus my Lord, I am Thankful for the cross and salvation that causes me to walk in Freedom.

Nourishment of Encouragement

It is written, "As surely as I live," says the Lord, "every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God."
— Romans 14:11 (NIV)

Yes, every knee will bow. But ours already do. We live in anticipation of the day when all peoples will bow before our King. Until that day, let's do all we can to make sure as many as we can influence bow before Jesus on that Day in joy and not in fear!

I Thank God for Salvation today in Bread of Life Food Pantry!!!!!!! Knee bowed, confession made and Angels rejoice!!!!

Nourishment of Encouragement

Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
— 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 (NIV)

The Super Bowl and World Series are played every year. The champion is a victor for only one year. But a Christian is a champion forever because in Jesus, a Christian has victory over death.

Nourishment of Encouragement

Imagine Jesus being proud of you! He said if we confess him before others here on earth, he will speak up for us in heaven. Confessing Jesus as our Lord is simply acknowledging the truth. But for believers, it is more than that, since at the close of time every knee will bow and every tongue confess his name. For us, confessing Jesus is anticipating his triumph in which we will share.

Nourishment of Encouragement

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
— 1 Corinthians 1:18 (NIV)

But, the greatest power ever unleashed on this earth was the power displayed when the Almighty God held back his might and fury while his Son was persecuted and murdered on the cross. He did it so he could save us. Now that's an awesome display of power, and it was displayed specifically for us!

Bread of Life Food Pantry

Wow God You are so awesome to allow us to just have a part in blessing lives. Today the Holy Spirit was present to minister to people in need, the newness and freshness of God's Glory was evident and enriching. We are seeing growth in those who are serving, our first recruits that were recieving from the pantry have now been serving 2 weeks and are taking the blessing they had recieved and are blessing others with a heart to serve. Laura and Reginald Hill have come to our pantry for years and about 3 months ago Laura gave her heart to the Lord in the pantry recieving Jesus and a new start, and a month later is serving with her Nephew Reginald blessing others being true disciples and followers of the one who saves and sets us free to do His work. You should see the look on their faces as they serve with such JOY, you can see the transformation of God's love as they show their excitement to serve, you dont even have to ask they just are happy to serve the King. This should make us think as believers in the church where is our JOY to serve with a smile and excitement to show God we are available to do what He asks.

Isaiah 41:10 (The Message)

8-10"But you, Israel, are my servant.
You're Jacob, my first choice,
descendants of my good friend Abraham.
I pulled you in from all over the world,
called you in from every dark corner of the earth,
Telling you, 'You're my servant, serving on my side.
I've picked you. I haven't dropped you.'
Don't panic. I'm with you.
There's no need to fear for I'm your God.
I'll give you strength. I'll help you.
I'll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you.

Nourishment of Encouragement

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
-- 2 Chronicles 7:14

The face of a mann will always deliver God's plan.

Jesus came as a man to deliver God's plan.

Nourishment of Encouragement

The story of the Gospel is simple. The grace of the Gospel is glorious. The sacrifice of the Gospel is incomprehensible. The victory of the Gospel is eternal. The core of the Gospel is Christ and the Cross.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (The Message)

1-2Friends, let me go over the Message with you one final time— this Message that I proclaimed and that you made your own; this Message on which you took your stand and by which your life has been saved. (I'm assuming, now, that your belief was the real thing and not a passing fancy, that you're in this for good and holding fast.)
3-9The first thing I did was place before you what was placed so emphatically before me: that the Messiah died for our sins, exactly as Scripture tells it; that he was buried; that he was raised from death on the third day, again exactly as Scripture says; that he presented himself alive to Peter, then to his closest followers, and later to more than five hundred of his followers all at the same time, most of them still around (although a few have since died); that he then spent time with James and the rest of those he commissioned to represent him; and that he finally presented himself alive to me. It was fitting that I bring up the rear. I don't deserve to be included in that inner circle, as you well know, having spent all those early years trying my best to stamp God's church right out of existence.

"I blew it!" Come to think of it, we've all blown it! We don't measure up. We're not divine. We might be decent, but decent won't save us. Only the divine, the truly righteous, make it past the grave and into glory. Thank God grace is freely given and the price for our sin was paid by Jesus. While I "blew it," he renewed it!

Nourishment of Encouragement

Today, I renew my commitment to the last thing Jesus left before his transition back to the Father and the first thing that He’s coming back for – his victorious, influential, and powerful institution – the church. Will you vote with me?

Nourishment of Encouragement

Amazing Sunday at ELC, God continues to reveal His nature in transforming lives. I have never seen the kind of humilty that I experienced this weekend, and I cant say enough about our leaders and how FULL of the Holy Spirit they were. And our Pastor John Clark, God gave me a renewed respect for this Man of God. The raidiance of God has been released and we are that raidiant Bride.

Nourishment of Encouragement

At just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
— Romans 5:6-8 (NIV)

God's Word

The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.— Hebrews 1:3 (NIV)
